The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'The prayer of one of you in congregation is twenty-five times greater than his prayer in his market or home. That is because when one of you performs ablution well and then goes out to the mosque with no purpose other than prayer, his rank is raised by one degree and one sin is removed from him with each step. When he prays, the angels continue to pray for him as long as he remains in his place of prayer, saying: O Allah, bless him, O Allah, have mercy on him. One of you remains in prayer as long as he is waiting for the prayer.'
