حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ يُرِدْ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُصِبْ مِنْهُ.

Abd al-Rahman told us, from Malik, from Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Sa'sa'ah, from Sa'id ibn Yasar, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Whoever Allah intends good for, He afflicts him with trial."
