حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ تُحِسُّ بِالْوَحْيِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَعَمْ أَسْمَعُ صَلَاصِلَ ثُمَّ أَسْكُتُ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ فَمَا مِنْ مَرَّةٍ يُوحَى إِلَيَّ إِلَّا ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّ نَفْسِي تَفِيضُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Qutaybah told us: Ibn Lahi'ah told us, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Amr ibn al-Walid, from Abdullah ibn Amr, who said: I asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: O Messenger of Allah, do you sense the revelation coming? The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Yes, I hear a ringing sound, and then I fall silent at that; and never once has revelation come to me but I thought my soul was about to depart.
