حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ وَسَمِعْتُهُ سَمَاعًا قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ قَالَ مَنْ كَانَ مُتَحَرِّيَهَا فَلْيَتَحَرَّهَا فِي لَيْلَةِ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَذَكَرَ لِي رَجُلٌ ثِقَةٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِنَّمَا قَالَ مَنْ كَانَ مُتَحَرِّيَهَا فَلْيَتَحَرَّهَا فِي السَّبْعِ الْبَوَاقِي قَالَ شُعْبَةُ فَلَا أَدْرِي قَالَ ذَا أَوْ ذَا شُعْبَةُ شَكَّ الرَّجُلُ الثِّقَةُ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abdullah said: I read this hadith to my father and heard it directly. He said: al-Aswad ibn Amir narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated, Abdullah ibn Dinar informed me, saying: I heard Ibn Umar narrating from the Prophet (peace be upon him) about Laylat al-Qadr. He said: Whoever seeks it should seek it on the twenty-seventh night. Shu'bah said: A trustworthy man mentioned to me from Sufyan that he used to say: Rather he said: Whoever seeks it should seek it in the last seven nights. Shu'bah said: I do not know whether he said this or that. Shu'bah was uncertain — the trustworthy man was Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan.
