حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ جَرَّ إِزَارَهُ مِنْ الْخُيَلَاءِ لَمْ يَنْظُرْ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ زَيْدٌ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَآهُ وَعَلَيْهِ إِزَارٌ يَتَقَعْقَعُ يَعْنِي جَدِيدًا فَقَالَ مَنْ هَذَا فَقُلْتُ أَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ إِنْ كُنْتَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ فَارْفَعْ إِزَارَكَ قَالَ فَرَفَعْتُهُ قَالَ زِدْ قَالَ فَرَفَعْتُهُ حَتَّى بَلَغَ نِصْفَ السَّاقِ قَالَ ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنْ الْخُيَلَاءِ لَمْ يَنْظُرْ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ إِنَّهُ يَسْتَرْخِي إِزَارِي أَحْيَانًا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَسْتَ مِنْهُمْ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abdur-Razzaq told us, Ma'mar informed us, from Zayd ibn Aslam: I heard Ibn Umar saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: Whoever drags his lower garment out of pride, Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection. Zayd said: Ibn Umar used to relate that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw him wearing a lower garment that rustled - meaning it was new - and said: Who is this? I said: I am Abdullah. He said: If you are Abdullah, then raise your garment. He said: So I raised it. He said: More. He said: So I raised it until it reached halfway up the shin. He said: Then he turned to Abu Bakr and said: Whoever drags his garment out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection. Abu Bakr said: My lower garment sometimes slips down on its own. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You are not one of them.
