حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ سَمِعْتُ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُ بِقَتْلِ الْكِلَابِ.

Zayd ibn Yahya al-Dimashqi told us: Abdullah ibn al-Ala' told us: I heard Salim ibn Abdullah say: I heard Abdullah ibn Umar say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to order the killing of dogs.
