حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِامْرَأَةٍ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ مَقْتُولَةٍ فَقَالَ مَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ تُقَاتِلُ ثُمَّ نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ النِّسَاءِ وَالصِّبْيَانِ.

Husayn told us, Sharik told us, from Muhammad b. Zayd, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by a slain woman on the day of the conquest of Mecca and said: "This one was not fighting," then he forbade the killing of women and children.
