حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ حَدَّثَنِي كَعْبُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَمْنَعُوا النِّسَاءَ حُظُوظَهُنَّ مِنْ الْمَسَاجِدِ إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنَّكُمْ فَقَالَ بِلَالٌ وَاللَّهِ لَنَمْنَعُهُنَّ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَقُولُ لَنَمْنَعُهُنَّ.

Abu Abd al-Rahman told us, Sa'id - meaning Ibn Abi Ayyub - told us, Ka'b ibn Alqamah told me, from Bilal ibn Abdullah ibn Umar ibn al-Khattab, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Do not prevent women from their share of the mosques when they seek your permission." Bilal said, "By Allah, we will indeed prevent them!" Abdullah said, "I tell you the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said this, and you say, 'We will prevent them'?"
