Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'bah told us, from Simak, from Mus'ab ibn Sa'd, who said: Ibn Amir fell ill, and people began to praise him, while Ibn Umar remained silent. He said, "I am not the least sincere of them toward you, but the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, 'Allah does not accept a prayer without purification, nor charity from misappropriated spoils.'"
