Abd al-Razzaq told us: Ma'mar informed us, from Ayyub, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'The example of the Qur'an, for one who commits himself to it and recites it night and day, is like the example of a man who has camels: if he keeps them tied, he retains them; but if he releases their bonds, they run off. So is the companion of the Qur'an.'
