حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ وَاصَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَوَاصَلَ النَّاسُ فَقَالُوا نَهَيْتَنَا عَنْ الْوِصَالِ وَأَنْتَ تُوَاصِلُ قَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ إِنِّي أُطْعَمُ وَأُسْقَى.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yahya narrated to us, from 'Ubaydullah: Nafi' told me, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, fasted continuously in Ramadan, so the people followed him in continuous fasting. They said: "You forbade us continuous fasting, yet you fast continuously?" He said: "I am not like any of you; I am given food and drink."
