Yahya narrated to us, from Shu'bah: Simak ibn Harb told me, from Mus'ab ibn Sa'd, that some people came in to visit Ibn 'Amir during his illness and began praising him, so Ibn 'Umar said: "I am not the least sincere of them toward you; I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: 'Allah, Blessed and Exalted, does not accept charity from ill-gotten gain, nor prayer without purification.'"
