حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيٌّ حَدَّثَنَا وَاصِلٌ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ غَدَوْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ فَسَلَّمْنَا بِالْبَابِ فَأُذِنَ لَنَا فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْقَوْمِ قَرَأْتُ الْمُفَصَّلَ الْبَارِحَةَ كُلَّهُ فَقَالَ هَذًّا كَهَذِّ الشِّعْرِ إِنَّا قَدْ سَمِعْنَا الْقِرَاءَةَ وَإِنِّي لَأَحْفَظُ الْقَرَائِنَ الَّتِي كَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِهِنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَمَانِيَ عَشْرَةَ سُورَةً مِنْ الْمُفَصَّلِ وَسُورَتَيْنِ مِنْ آلِ حم.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Affan told us: Mahdi told us: Wasil told us, from Abu Wa'il, who said: We went to Abdullah ibn Mas'ud one day after the dawn prayer, and we gave the greeting of peace at the door, and we were permitted to enter. A man among the people said, "I recited the whole of al-Mufassal last night." He said, "Reciting quickly like poetry! We have indeed heard the recitation, and I remember the groupings with which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite: eighteen surahs from al-Mufassal and two surahs from the Ha-Mim group."
