حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يُقَبِّلُ الْحَجَرَ وَيَقُولُ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ حَجَرٌ لَا تَضُرُّ وَلَا تَنْفَعُ وَلَكِنِّي رَأَيْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِكَ حَفِيًّا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
It was narrated that Suwaid bin Ghafalah said: I saw `Umar kiss the Black Stone and say: I know that you are a stone and cannot cause harm or bring benefit, but I saw Abul-Qasim (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) show respect to you.
