Ibrahim ibn Abi al-Abbas and Yunus ibn Muhammad said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Uthman narrated to us - Ibrahim ibn Abi al-Abbas said: Ibn Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn Hatib - he said: my father narrated to me, from his grandfather Muhammad ibn Hatib, from his mother Umm Jamil bint al-Mujallil, who said: "I brought you from the land of Abyssinia, and when we were one or two nights away from Madinah, I cooked some food for you. The firewood ran out, so I went out to look for some. You reached for the pot, and it tipped over onto your arm. I brought you to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: 'May my father and mother be your ransom, O Messenger of Allah! This is Muhammad ibn Hatib.' He spat in your mouth, wiped your head, and supplicated for you. He kept spitting on your hand and saying: 'Remove the harm, O Lord of mankind, and heal, for You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves no ailment behind.' She said: I had not left him with you before your hand was healed."
