Ibn Numayr told us, he said: Hisham told us, from Hafsah bint Sirin, from Umm Atiyyah, she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A woman may not mourn for a deceased person for more than three days, except for her husband, for whom she mourns four months and ten days. She should not wear dyed clothing except a garment of 'asb, nor apply kohl, nor use perfume, except at the end of her purification period, a small amount of qust or azfar."
