Sufyan narrated to us, from Ibrahim ibn Maysarah, from Ibn Qarib, from his father, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "O Allah, forgive those who shave their heads [after pilgrimage]." A man said, "And those who shorten it." He said, on the fourth time, "And those who shorten it" - Sufyan diminishing it with his hand. Sufyan said: And he said in that other instance, as though widening his hand [gesturing more generously].
