حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ السَّبَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ أَصْبَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَاثِرًا فَقِيلَ لَهُ مَا لَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَصْبَحْتَ خَاثِرًا قَالَ وَعَدَنِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام أَنْ يَلْقَانِي فَلَمْ يَلْقَنِي وَمَا أَخْلَفَنِي فَلَمْ يَأْتِهِ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ وَلَا الثَّانِيَةَ وَلَا الثَّالِثَةَ ثُمَّ اتَّهَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَرْوَ كَلْبٍ وَكَانَ تَحْتَ نَضَدِنَا فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَأُخْرِجَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ مَاءً فَرَشَّ مَكَانَهُ فَجَاءَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَقَالَ وَعَدْتَنِي فَلَمْ أَرَكَ قَالَ إِنَّا لَا نَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ كَلْبٌ وَلَا صُورَةٌ فَأَمَرَ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِقَتْلِ الْكِلَابِ قَالَ حَتَّى كَانَ يُسْتَأْذَنُ فِي كَلْبِ الْحَائِطِ الصَّغِيرِ فَيَأْمُرُ بِهِ أَنْ يُقْتَلَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Rawh told us: Muhammad bin Abi Hafsah told us: al-Zuhri told us, from 'Ubaydullah bin al-Sabbaq, from Ibn 'Abbas, from Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, woke up gloomy, and it was said to him: "What is the matter with you, O Messenger of Allah, that you have woken up gloomy?" He said: "Gabriel, upon him be peace, had promised to meet me, but he did not meet me, and he does not break his promise to me." So he did not come to him that night, nor the second, nor the third. Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, suspected a puppy that was under our raised platform. He ordered it, so it was taken out. Then he took water and sprinkled its place. Then Gabriel, upon him be peace, came and said: "You promised me, but I did not see you." He said: "We do not enter a house in which there is a dog or an image." So he ordered on that day that dogs be killed. He said: Until permission would be sought regarding a small watchdog for an orchard, and he would order it to be killed.
