حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ أَخْبَرَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسُ فِي مَرَضِهِ يَعُودُونَهُ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ جَالِسًا فَجَعَلُوا يُصَلُّونَ قِيَامًا فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنْ اجْلِسُوا فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الْإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ فَإِذَا رَكَعَ فَارْكَعُوا وَإِذَا رَفَعَ فَارْفَعُوا وَإِنْ صَلَّى جَالِسًا فَصَلُّوا جُلُوسًا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yahya narrated from Hisham ibn Urwah, he said: my father narrated to me, he said: Aisha informed me, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him - when people came to visit him during his illness - led them in prayer sitting down, and they began to pray standing, so he gestured to them to sit. When he finished, he said: 'The imam is appointed only to be followed: when he bows, then bow, and when he rises, then rise; and if he prays sitting, then pray sitting.'
