حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ الْحَارِثِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبْدَأُ إِذَا دَخَلَ بَيْتَهُ قَالَتْ بِالسِّوَاكِ.

Waki' said: Sufyan narrated to us from al-Miqdam ibn Shurayh ibn Hani' al-Harithi from his father, who said: I said to Aisha, 'With what did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, begin whenever he entered his house?' She said: 'With the tooth-stick.'
