حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَيْسٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَحَفَّظُ مِنْ هِلَالِ شَعْبَانَ مَا لَا يَتَحَفَّظُ مِنْ غَيْرِهِ ثُمَّ يَصُومُ بِرُؤْيَةِ رَمَضَانَ فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْهِ عَدَّ ثَلَاثِينَ يَوْمًا ثُمَّ صَامَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abdullah ibn Abi Qays said: I heard Aisha say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to watch for the new moon of Sha'ban more carefully than for any other month, and then would fast upon sighting the new moon of Ramadan. If it was obscured from him, he would count thirty days and then begin fasting.
