حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَشْعَثُ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ التَّبَتُّلِ.

Affan told us: Khalid ibn al-Harith told me: Ash'ath told us, from al-Hasan, from Sa'd ibn Hisham, from Aisha, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade celibacy.
