حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجْتَهِدُ فِي الْعَشْرِ مَا لَا يَجْتَهِدُ فِي غَيْرِهِ.

Affan told us: Abd al-Wahid ibn Ziyad told us: al-Hasan ibn Ubaydullah told us: Ibrahim told us, from al-Aswad ibn Yazid, from Aisha, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to strive in worship during the ten days as he did not strive at any other time.
