حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا النَّهَّاسُ عَنْ شَدَّادٍ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ قَالَ يَا طَاعُونُ خُذْنِي إِلَيْكَ قَالُوا لِمَ تَقُولُ هَذَا أَلَيْسَ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ لَا يَزِيدُهُ طُولُ الْعُمُرِ إِلَّا خَيْرًا قَالَ بَلَى فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ وَكِيعٍ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad b. Bakr told us, saying: al-Nahhas informed us, from Shaddad Abu Ammar, from Awf b. Malik al-Ashja'i, who said, "O plague, take me to you!" They said, "Why do you say this? Did you not hear the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say, 'Length of life only increases the believer in good'?" He said, "Yes indeed." Then he mentioned the like of the hadith of Waki'.
