Yazid b. Harun told us, saying: Sufyan b. Husayn informed us, from Hisham b. Yusuf, from Awf b. Malik, who said: "I asked permission to enter upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I said, 'Shall I enter wholly or partly?' He said, 'Enter wholly.' So I entered upon him while he was performing a lengthy, unhurried ablution. He said to me, 'O Awf b. Malik, count six signs before the Hour: my death is the first — take it as one; then the conquest of Jerusalem; then a death that will seize you, striking you down as sheep are struck down by plague; then tribulations will appear and wealth will increase until a man is given a hundred dinars and is displeased with it; then the Banu al-Asfar will come against you under eighty banners, under each banner twelve thousand men.'"
