حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَذْكُرُ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ السَّاعَةِ فَقَالَ { عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ رَبِّي لَا يُجَلِّيهَا لِوَقْتِهَا إِلَّا هُوَ } وَلَكِنْ أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِمَشَارِيطِهَا وَمَا يَكُونُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا إِنَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا فِتْنَةً وَهَرْجًا قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الْفِتْنَةُ قَدْ عَرَفْنَاهَا فَالْهَرْجُ مَا هُوَ قَالَ بِلِسَانِ الْحَبَشَةِ الْقَتْلُ وَيُلْقَى بَيْنَ النَّاسِ التَّنَاكُرُ فَلَا يَكَادُ أَحَدٌ أَنْ يَعْرِفَ أَحَدًا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Yahya b. Abi Bukayr told us, 'Ubaydullah b. Iyad b. Laqit told us, he said: I heard my father mention, from Hudhayfah, he said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the Hour, and he said: {Its knowledge is with my Lord; none but He will disclose it at its time}, "but I will tell you of its signs and what will come before it: before it will be tribulation and 'harj'." They said: "O Messenger of God, we know tribulation, but what is 'harj'?" He said: "In the language of Abyssinia, it is killing. Mutual unfamiliarity will spread among people, so that scarcely anyone will recognize anyone else."
