حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعُمَيْسِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنٍ لِحُذَيْفَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا دَعَا لِرَجُلٍ أَصَابَتْهُ وَأَصَابَتْ وَلَدَهُ وَوَلَدَ وَلَدِهِ.

Waki' told us, Abu al-'Umays told us, from Abu Bakr b. 'Amr b. 'Utbah, from a son of Hudhayfah, from his father: that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he prayed for a man, it would reach him and reach his child and his child's child.
