حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنِي شَيْخٌ مِنْ بَنِي مَالِكِ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسُوقِ ذِي الْمَجَازِ يَتَخَلَّلُهَا يَقُولُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قُولُوا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ تُفْلِحُوا قَالَ وَأَبُو جَهْلٍ يَحْثِي عَلَيْهِ التُّرَابَ وَيَقُولُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لَا يَغُرَّنَّكُمْ هَذَا عَنْ دِينِكُمْ فَإِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ لِتَتْرُكُوا آلِهَتَكُمْ وَلِتَتْرُكُوا اللَّاتَ وَالْعُزَّى قَالَ وَمَا يَلْتَفِتُ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ قُلْنَا انْعَتْ لَنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَيْنَ بُرْدَيْنِ أَحْمَرَيْنِ مَرْبُوعٌ كَثِيرُ اللَّحْمِ حَسَنُ الْوَجْهِ شَدِيدُ سَوَادِ الشَّعْرِ أَبْيَضُ شَدِيدُ الْبَيَاضِ سَابِغُ الشَّعْرِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu al-Nadr told us, Shayban told us, from Ash'ath, who said: an old man from Banu Malik ibn Kinanah told me, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, at the market of Dhu al-Majaz, moving through it, saying, "O people, say 'There is no god but Allah' and you will succeed." He said: and Abu Jahl was throwing dust at him, saying, "O people, do not let this one deceive you away from your religion, for he only wants you to abandon your gods and abandon al-Lat and al-Uzza." He said: and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, paid no attention to him. He said: we said, "Describe the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to us." He said: "Between two red garments, of medium height, ample in flesh, handsome of face, intensely black of hair, white, intensely white, with abundant hair."
