Zayd ibn al-Hubab told us: Malik ibn Mighwal informed me: Abdullah ibn Buraydah told us, from his father: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, entered the mosque and took my hand, and I entered with him. There was a man reciting and praying, and he said: This one has been given a flute from among the flutes of the family of David. It turned out to be Abdullah ibn Qays, Abu Musa al-Ash'ari. I said: O Messenger of Allah, shall I tell him? He said: Tell him. So I told him, and he said: You have always been a friend to me.
