حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ حَدَّثَنِي حُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي بُرَيْدَةَ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُنَا فَجَاءَ الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ عَلَيْهِمَا قَمِيصَانِ أَحْمَرَانِ يَمْشِيَانِ وَيَعْثُرَانِ فَنَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ الْمِنْبَرِ فَحَمَلَهُمَا فَوَضَعَهُمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ { إِنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلَادُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ } نَظَرْتُ إِلَى هَذَيْنِ الصَّبِيَّيْنِ يَمْشِيَانِ وَيَعْثُرَانِ فَلَمْ أَصْبِرْ حَتَّى قَطَعْتُ حَدِيثِي وَرَفَعْتُهُمَا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Zayd ibn Hubab told us: Husayn ibn Waqid told me: Abdullah ibn Buraydah told me, who said: I heard my father Buraydah say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was delivering a sermon to us when al-Hasan and al-Husayn came, wearing red shirts, walking and stumbling. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came down from the pulpit, picked them up, and set them in front of him, then said: Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth - {Your wealth and your children are only a trial} - I looked at these two boys walking and stumbling and I could not be patient until I interrupted my speech and picked them up.
