Yunus told us: Uqbah ibn Abdullah al-Rifa'i told us: Abdullah ibn Buraydah told me, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would not go out early on the day of Fitr until he had eaten, and he would not eat on the day of Adha until he returned, and he would eat from his sacrificial animal.
