Yahya ibn Sa'id told us, from Shu'bah, who said: Abu Bakr ibn Hafs told me, from Ibn al-Musabbih or Abu al-Musabbih, from Ibn al-Simt, from Ubadah ibn al-Samit, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, visited Abdullah ibn Rawahah, and did not move aside from his bed for him. He said, "Who are the martyrs of my nation?" They said, "The killing of a Muslim is martyrdom." He said, "Then the martyrs of my nation would indeed be few. The killing of a Muslim is martyrdom, the plague is martyrdom, the abdomen and drowning are martyrdom, and a woman whom her child kills, altogether."
