حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ حَدَّثَنَا غَيْلَانُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ الزِّمَّانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ قَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ أَرَأَيْتَ صِيَامَ عَرَفَةَ قَالَ أَحْتَسِبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ السَّنَةَ الْمَاضِيَةَ وَالْبَاقِيَةَ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ صَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ قَالَ أَحْتَسِبُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ السَّنَةَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Affan narrated to us, Mahdi ibn Maymun narrated to us, Ghaylan ibn Jarir narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn Ma'bad al-Zimmani, from Abu Qatadah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: A man asked him: 'What do you say about fasting on the day of Arafah?' He said: "I expect from Allah that it will expiate the sins of the past year and the coming year." He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about fasting on the day of Ashura?' He said: "I expect from Allah that it will expiate the sins of the past year."
