حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ وَقَيْسٌ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَّرَ الْعِشَاءَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ حَتَّى نَامَ الْقَوْمُ ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظُوا ثُمَّ نَامُوا ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظُوا قَالَ قَيْسٌ فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ فَقَالَ الصَّلَاةَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ فَخَرَجَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَنَّهُمْ تَوَضَّئُوا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) delayed the Isha prayer one night until the people slept, then woke up, then slept again, then woke up. Then Umar came and said: 'The prayer, O Messenger of Allah!' The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came out and said: 'Were it not that it would be difficult for my ummah, I would have commanded them to pray it at this time.'
