Abdullah told us, my father told me, Surayj ibn al-Nu'man told us, Abd al-Aziz — meaning al-Darawardi — told us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Ata ibn Yasar, from Mu'adh ibn Jabal, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever prays the five prayers, performs the pilgrimage to the Sacred House, and fasts Ramadan — and I do not know whether he mentioned zakat or not — it is a right upon Allah that He forgive him, whether he emigrates in His path or remains in the land in which he was born." Mu'adh said, "O Messenger of Allah, shall I inform the people?" He said, "Leave the people be, O Mu'adh. In Paradise there are a hundred levels, between every two levels a hundred years, and al-Firdaws is the highest part of Paradise and its middle, and from it the rivers of Paradise burst forth. So when you ask Allah, ask Him for al-Firdaws."
