حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَبِيصَةَ بْنَ هُلْبٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَذَكَرَ الصَّدَقَةَ فَقَالَ لَا يَجِيئَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ بِشَاةٍ لَهُ رُغَاءٌ قَالَ يَقُولُ يَصِيحُ.

Abdullah told us, Abu Muhammad, freedman of Banu Hashim, Yahya ibn Abd Rabbih, told us, Shu'bah told us, from Simak, who said: I heard Qabisah ibn Hulb narrate from his father that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him — he mentioned charity and said: Let none of you bring a sheep that bleats. He said: meaning it cries out.
