حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا ثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ سَمِعْتُ إِيَادَ بْنَ لَقِيطٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ لَيْلَى امْرَأَةَ بَشِيرٍ تَقُولُ إِنَّ بَشِيرًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَصُومُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَلَا أُكَلِّمُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ أَحَدًا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَصُمْ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَّا فِي أَيَّامٍ هُوَ أَحَدُهَا أَوْ فِي شَهْرٍ وَأَمَّا أَنْ لَا تُكَلِّمَ أَحَدًا فَلَعَمْرِي لَأَنْ تَكَلَّمَ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَتَنْهَى عَنْ مُنْكَرٍ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ تَسْكُتَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu al-Walid and Affan told us, they said: Ubaydullah ibn Iyad ibn Laqit told us: I heard Iyad ibn Laqit say: I heard Layla, the wife of Bashir, say: Bashir asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: Shall I fast on Friday and not speak to anyone that day? The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Do not fast on Friday alone except within a few days of which it is one, or within a month; and as for not speaking to anyone — by my life, that you speak what is good and forbid what is wrong is better than that you remain silent.
