حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عُمَيْرٍ مَوْلَى آبِي اللَّحْمِ عَنْ آبِي اللَّحْمِ أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ أَحْجَارِ الزَّيْتِ يَسْتَسْقِي وَهُوَ مُقْنِعٌ بِكَفَّيْهِ يَدْعُو.

Qutaybah b. Sa'id told us, Layth b. Sa'd told us, from Khalid b. Yazid, from Sa'id b. Abi Hilal, from Yazid b. 'Abdullah, from 'Umayr, the mawla of Abi al-Lahm, from Abu al-Lahm, that he saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, at Ahjar al-Zayt praying for rain, raising his palms upward while supplicating.
