حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ قَالَ كَانَ بَيْنَ أَبْيَاتِنَا إِنْسَانٌ مُخْدَجٌ ضَعِيفٌ لَمْ يُرَعْ أَهْلُ الدَّارِ إِلَّا وَهُوَ عَلَى أَمَةٍ مِنْ إِمَاءِ الدَّارِ يَخْبُثُ بِهَا وَكَانَ مُسْلِمًا فَرَفَعَ شَأْنَهُ سَعْدٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ اضْرِبُوهُ حَدَّهُ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ أَضْعَفُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ إِنْ ضَرَبْنَاهُ مِائَةً قَتَلْنَاهُ قَالَ فَخُذُوا لَهُ عِثْكَالًا فِيهِ مِائَةُ شِمْرَاخٍ فَاضْرِبُوهُ بِهِ ضَرْبَةً وَاحِدَةً وَخَلُّوا سَبِيلَهُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ya'la b. 'Ubayd told us, Muhammad — that is, Ibn Ishaq — told us, from Ya'qub b. 'Abdullah b. al-Ashajj, from Abu Umamah b. Sahl, from Sa'id b. Sa'd b. 'Ubadah, who said: Among our households there was a weak, disabled person; the people of the house were startled to find him upon a slave-girl of the household's female slaves, misbehaving with her, and he was a Muslim. Sa'd brought his case to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Strike him with his prescribed punishment." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, he is too weak for that — if we strike him a hundred times we will kill him." He said: "Take for him a palm branch bearing a hundred twigs and strike him with it once, then let him go on his way."
