حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أُسَامَةَ قَالَ كَسَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُبْطِيَّةً كَثِيفَةً كَانَتْ مِمَّا أَهْدَاهَا دِحْيَةُ الْكَلْبِيُّ فَكَسَوْتُهَا امْرَأَتِي فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا لَكَ لَمْ تَلْبَسْ الْقُبْطِيَّةَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَسَوْتُهَا امْرَأَتِي فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُرْهَا فَلْتَجْعَلْ تَحْتَهَا غِلَالَةً إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ تَصِفَ حَجْمَ عِظَامِهَا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abu Amir told us, Zuhayr - that is, Ibn Muhammad - told us, from Abdullah - that is, Ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil - from the son of Usamah ibn Zayd, that his father Usamah said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, clothed me with a thick Egyptian garment which had been given to him as a gift by Dihyah al-Kalbi, and I gave it to my wife to wear. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me: Why did you not wear the Egyptian garment? I said: O Messenger of Allah, I gave it to my wife to wear. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me: Tell her to put an under-garment beneath it; I fear it may describe the shape of her bones.
