حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ مَرْوَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ لَهُ مَا لِي أَرَاكَ تَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِقِصَارِ السُّوَرِ قَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِيهَا بِطُولَى الطُّولَيَيْنِ قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ وَمَا طُولَى الطُّولَيَيْنِ قَالَ الْأَعْرَافُ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Ibn Jurayj told us, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah: Urwah ibn al-Zubayr told me that Marwan told him that Zayd ibn Thabit said to him: 'What is the matter with me seeing you recite short surahs in Maghrib? I have seen the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, recite in it the longer of the two long surahs.' Ibn Abi Mulaykah said: 'What is the longer of the two long surahs?' He said: 'Al-A'raf.'
