حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ { فَمَا لَكُمْ فِي الْمُنَافِقِينَ فِئَتَيْنِ وَاللَّهُ أَرْكَسَهُمْ بِمَا كَسَبُوا } قَالَ رَجَعَ أُنَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَانَ النَّاسُ فِيهِمْ فِرْقَتَيْنِ فَرِيقٌ يَقُولُونَ قَتْلَهُمْ وَفَرِيقٌ يَقُولُونَ لَا فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ { فَمَا لَكُمْ فِي الْمُنَافِقِينَ فِئَتَيْنِ } وَقَالَ إِنَّهَا طَيْبَةُ وَإِنَّهَا تَنْفِي الْخَبَثَ كَمَا تَنْفِي النَّارُ خَبَثَ الْفِضَّةِ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'bah told us, from Adi ibn Thabit, from Abdullah ibn Yazid, narrating from Zayd ibn Thabit, that he said concerning this verse: 'What is the matter with you that you are two groups concerning the hypocrites, while Allah has cast them back for what they earned' - he said: Some people among the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, turned back, and the people became two groups concerning them: a group said 'kill them' and a group said 'no.' So this verse was revealed: 'What is the matter with you that you are two groups concerning the hypocrites.' And he said: 'It is Tayyibah; it expels impurity just as the fire expels the impurity of silver.'
