حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ لَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ خُطَبَاءُ الْأَنْصَارِ فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا اسْتَعْمَلَ رَجُلًا مِنْكُمْ قَرَنَ مَعَهُ رَجُلًا مِنَّا فَنَرَى أَنْ يَلِيَ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ رَجُلَانِ أَحَدُهُمَا مِنْكُمْ وَالْآخَرُ مِنَّا قَالَ فَتَتَابَعَتْ خُطَبَاءُ الْأَنْصَارِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ قَالَ فَقَامَ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ مِنْ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَإِنَّمَا الْإِمَامُ يَكُونُ مِنْ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَنَحْنُ أَنْصَارُهُ كَمَا كُنَّا أَنْصَارَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَامَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ جَزَاكُمْ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا مِنْ حَيٍّ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَثَبَّتَ قَائِلَكُمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ وَاللَّهِ لَوْ فَعَلْتُمْ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ لَمَا صَالَحْنَاكُمْ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Affan told us: Wuhayb told us: Dawud told us, from Abu Nadra, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed away, the orators of the Ansar stood up, and some of them began saying: "O company of the Emigrants, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to, whenever he appointed a man from among you, pair with him a man from among us; so we think that this matter should be held by two men, one of you and one of us." He said: So the orators of the Ansar continued along these lines. He said: Then Zayd ibn Thabit stood and said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was from the Emigrants, and indeed the leader should be from the Emigrants, and we are his helpers, just as we were the helpers of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him." Then Abu Bakr stood and said: "May Allah reward you well, O company of the Ansar, from among all the living, and may He make firm the one who has spoken among you." Then he said: "By Allah, if you had done otherwise, we would not have made peace with you."
