حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عُتَيِّ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا اعْتَزَى بِعَزَاءِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَأَعَضَّهُ وَلَمْ يُكَنِّهِ فَنَظَرَ الْقَوْمُ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لِلْقَوْمِ إِنِّي قَدْ أَرَى الَّذِي فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ إِنِّي لَمْ أَسْتَطِعْ إِلَّا أَنْ أَقُولَ هَذَا إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَنَا إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ مَنْ يَعْتَزِي بِعَزَاءِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَأَعِضُّوهُ وَلَا تَكْنُوا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Awf told us, from al-Hasan, from Utayy ibn Damrah, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, that a man boasted of lineage with the boasting of pre-Islamic days, so Ubayy rebuked him crudely, without euphemism. The people looked at him, so he said to them, "I see what is in your minds; I could not help but say this. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded us: 'If you hear someone boasting with the boasting of pre-Islamic days, rebuke him crudely and do not use euphemism.'"
