حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ بْن أَحْمَد قَالَ و حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الشَّعْثَاءِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَمَانٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ السَّرَّاجِ عَنْ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَشِّرْ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةَ بِالسَّنَاءِ وَالرِّفْعَةِ وَالنَّصْرِ وَالتَّمْكِينِ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَمَنْ عَمِلَ عَمَلَ الْآخِرَةِ لِلدُّنْيَا لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ نَصِيبٌ وَهَذَا لَفْظُ الْمُقَدَّمِيِّ.

Abdullah ibn Ahmad told us, saying: and Abu al-Sha'tha Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Wasiti told me, Yahya ibn Yaman told us, from Sufyan, from Mughirah al-Sarraj, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Abu al-Aliyah, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Give this nation glad tidings of eminence, elevation, victory, and establishment in the land. Whoever does the work of the Hereafter for the sake of this world will have no share in the Hereafter." This is the wording of al-Muqaddami.
