'Abd al-Rahman told us, from Sufyan, from Simak, from Jabir ibn Samurah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to deliver the sermon standing, then sit, then stand again, reciting verses and remembering Allah, exalted is He, and his sermon was moderate and his prayer was moderate.
