حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الصُّبْحِ بِ ق وَالْقُرْآنِ وَكَانَ صَلَاتُهُ بَعْدُ تَخْفِيفًا.

Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us: Za'idah narrated to us from Simak ibn Harb, from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to recite in the dawn prayer "Qaf, By the Glorious Qur'an," and his prayer afterward was light.
