حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الزُّهْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَمِّي حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ مَنْ حَدَّثَكَ أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ قَاعِدًا قَطُّ فَلَا تُصَدِّقْهُ قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ مِائَةِ مَرَّةٍ فَرَأَيْتُهُ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ يَجْلِسُ فَلَا يَتَكَلَّمُ بِشَيْءٍ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ خُطْبَتَهُ الْأُخْرَى قُلْتُ كَيْفَ كَانَتْ خُطْبَتُهُ قَالَ كَانَتْ قَصْدًا كَلَامًا يَعِظُ بِهِ النَّاسَ وَيَقْرَأُ آيَاتٍ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Qasim al-Zuhri narrated to me: my uncle narrated to us: Sharik narrated to us from Simak ibn Harb, from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: Whoever tells you that he ever saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, deliver a sermon while sitting, do not believe him. I have seen him more than a hundred times, and I saw him deliver a sermon standing, then he would sit and not speak at all, then he would stand and deliver his other sermon. I said, "How was his sermon?" He said: "It was moderate speech in which he admonished the people, and he would recite verses from the Book of Allah, Exalted is He."
