A man from the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'The first thing a servant will be held accountable for on the Day of Resurrection is his prayer. If he completed it, it will be recorded as complete. If he did not complete it, Allah will say: See if My servant has any voluntary prayers, and use them to complete what he missed of his obligatory prayers. Then the zakah will be treated likewise, and then the rest of his deeds will be dealt with in the same manner.'
