Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Kahmas and Yazid told us - Kahmas said: informed us - who said: I heard Abdullah ibn Shaqiq say: Mihjan ibn al-Adra' sent me on an errand for the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); then he encountered me while I was coming out on one of the roads of Medina. He said: So I went along with him until we climbed [Mount] Uhud, and he faced towards Medina and said: "Woe to her mother, a town, on the day its people abandon it!" - Yazid said: "as if it were at its most flourishing." He said: I said: "O Prophet of Allah, who will eat its fruit?" He said: "The scavenging birds and beasts." He said: "And the Dajjal will not enter it; whenever he wishes to enter it, an angel with a drawn sword will meet him at every mountain pass of it." He said: Then we went on until, when we were at the door of the mosque, there was a man praying. He said: "Do you consider him sincere?" He said: I said: "O Prophet of Allah, this is so-and-so, and this is among the best of the people of Medina" - or he said "most abundant of the people of Medina in prayer." He said: "Do not let him hear it, lest you ruin him" - twice or three times - "You are a nation intended for ease." Hajjaj told us: Shu'bah told me, from Abu Bishr, who said: I heard Abdullah ibn Shaqiq narrating from Raja ibn Abi Raja al-Bahili, from Mihjan, a man from Aslam, and he mentioned something similar.
